• Details:  This is a delightful decorative plate from the "Dream Machine", Limited Edition Collection, by Delphi.  This is the Fourth in the series, tiled: " '56 Continental".  It is a Registered Collector's Plate, Bradex #84-D19-2.4, License Plate #208A.  We love everything about this plate, the iconic car, the vibrant colors, the wonderful artwork!  The Bradford Exchange is a company that produces collector plates, and Delphi was one of their brands (the brand was discontinued in the early to mid 2000's). The 1956 Continental Mark II, sold by Ford Motor Co. was an ultra-luxury coupé made in 1956 and 1957 model years, at launch it was the most expensive American car on the market.  Designed by William Clay Ford and John Reinhart, is one of the most outstanding cars ever built in America. Today the Continental Mark II has been designated a Milestone Car by the Milestone Car Society.
