The Centro Tecnológico Agrario y Agroalimentario Itagra.CT is a private non-profit association that was established in 2000.

 

The scope of work is the agricultural sector, considered from various points of view: agricultural and livestock, environmental, forestry and the agri-food industry. Its associates are companies and institutions related to this sector: agri-food industries, manufacturers of inputs for agriculture (machinery, fertilizers, seeds …), wineries, agricultural cooperatives, entities that promote the rural environment, among others.

 

In the hydroenvironmental field, Itagra collaborates with the Applied Ecohydraulic Group (GEA), which is a technology-based applied research group related to the University of Valladolid (UVa). GEA’s objective is to improve the ecological quality of rivers and make human activities compatible with aquatic ecosystems. To achieve this, we promote projects of the state R & D & I plans, developing our own or third-party studies and collaborate with other research centers (CEDEX, UNIOSTE (Brazil), etc.). Likewise, we provide specialized scientific-technical assistance in the field of water resources, fish farming and their associated ecosystems (fish scales, ecological flows, river restoration, hydraulic simulation, software development, training courses, etc.).
